STANLEY 1913

I spent over a decade working for an iconic American brand, Stanley. It was a thrilling experience to be a part of the team that started from humble beginnings in the outdoor industry and grew into one of the fastest-growing consumer brands on the planet. I had a direct role in engineering products and later leading a group of rockstar product development personnel. From Innovation to Engineering to Graphics to Packaging, it was rewarding to have a hand in the future direction of the Stanly brand and develop some great products along the way.

  • Master Series

The team set out to create a new standard for food and beverageware performance. The Stanly Classic vacuum bottle was tried and true, but the brand was in need of some fresh innovation. I led the engineering team in redefining benchmarks for thermal performance and durability. In the end, we were able to accomplish both goals, setting a new standard beyond anything achieved within the industry.

  • TiVac Series

A need for innovation in lightweight + simplicity led to the design of the Stanley TiVac series. I led the sourcing and manufacturing engineering activities for the line to onboard a new material class for the brand. Working through welding requirements and material manufacturability constraints proved to be challenging for the team to achieve a sleek, lightweight product in the end.

  • Ceramivac

Creating the feel of your favorite ceramic mug while retaining all the thermal performance of a vacuum-insulated bottle was the primary goal with the Ceramivac line. I led the coating sourcing and manufacturing ramp-up at our partner suppliers.

  • Wild Imagination Series

To continue to grow the brand, the Stanley went after a new consumer segment - children. I led the engineering team in redefining the product functionality for a younger consumer, as well as managing the packaging engineering redesign.
